The Mystery Blogger Award

Welcome to the first ever tag post on my blog! I started this blog about a month or two ago and have been wanting to do a post like this for a while now, so thank you so much to Amy @A Fangirl’s Opinion for tagging me πŸ₯° If you aren’t already, I would highly recommend checking out Amy’s blog and giving her a follow! She has some great book recommendations.
Okay, now let’s get into it!

The Rules:

  • Put the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules
  • Mention Okoto Enigma, the creator of the award and provide a link as well
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  • Nominate some other bloggers
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blogs
  • Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  • Share a link to your best posts

3 Things About Me:

  1. One of my biggest fears is large bodies of waters and because of that I never learned to swim 🀧 Besides that, I’m also really scared of bugs, especially spiders
  2. I’ve been a reader my whole life, and one of my favorite memories growing up is reading books like the Magic Tree House series and Anne of Green Gables with my mom
  3. Other than books, I like to spend my free time hanging out with friends (pre-pandemic, of course) and binging shows. Some of my favorite shows are The Office, b99, Anne with an E, Parenthood, and Grand Army.
If you haven’t seen Anne with an E yet, you totally should!!

Amy’s Questions:

  1. Why did you start blogging?

Like I said earlier, I have always loved to read. When I discovered Bookstagram, that was honestly one of the best days of my life because I didn’t even realize up until that point that there was such a big community of people who loved books as much as I did. Blogging is something that had interested me from day 1, but I finally decided to take the plunge after deciding that I needed another platform to write down all my reviews and give recommendations.
  1. What’s your go-to karaoke song?

I’ve only done karaoke once in my life and that was in middle school 😳 Back then I belted out some old-school Taylor Swift but now I think my go-to song would be Valerie – Amy Winehouse.
  1. What book character would you like to hang out with if you were having a bad day?

I would say Bryce from Crescent City! She seems like such a fun person and if I were having a bad day, I just know Bryce would be up to some adventure that I could tag along on and distract myself from whatever’s going on 🀎
  2. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?

I know it’s so cliche, but the best advice I’ve gotten is to be kind to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else is going through or if they’ve had a rough day, so even if I feel like someone else is being rude or something, I just remind myself of that πŸ’–
  3. Favorite Quote?

I don’t actually have a favorite quote, but Beauty Queens by Libba Bray has a lot of passages that I loved with meaningful messages.

Here are my questions:

  1. What was the first book that made you fall in love with reading?
  2. If you could spend the day with your favorite fictional character, what things would you like to do with them and how would you spend your day?
  3. What was your last read, what’s your current read, and what will be your next read?
  4. What was the last book you DNF’d?
  5. If you could be any character in a movie or show, who would you want to be?

And, here are some bloggers I would like to nominate:

Kim @Readers Paradiso
Ahaana @Windows to Worlds
readingbythemoonlight
Cherelle @A Bolt out of the Book

And feel free to join in if you’d also like to do the tag!

Author: Aarushi @ aarushireads

Hi friends! My name is Aarushi (she/her) and welcome to my blog πŸ’– I’m a 19 year old reader and decided to start this so I’d have a place where I could write down all my bookish rambles and thoughts! In addition to reading, I love to write in my free time and am currently working on my YA Fantasy WIP. Found family, rivals to lovers, and a historical backdrop are just a few tropes I've added in. I love interacting with other readers and writers so be sure to leave your comments so we can chat! Thanks for being here <33 All my socials are aarushireads :) *profile pic created by prequel
