HELLO!!! It has been over a month (‼️) since my last post but I am back with a new one today 🥳. So, there are a couple of reasons I haven’t been very active. To sum it up, I:Continue reading “My Recent Reads & Why I Took A Break From Blogging”
It’s been a minute since I was tagged to do these, but hey, I’m finally getting around to book tags again! Thank you so so much if you’ve nominated me to do a tag and sorry it has taken me so long to get around to them. I promise I’ll catch up soon though, and today I’m going to be doing The Feelings Book Tag, which I was nominated to do by both Emily @Frappes And Fiction and Rania @Rania’s Rambling Reads . So again, thanks to Emily and Rania, and make sure you check their blogs out if you haven’t already 😁Continue reading “The Feelings Book Tag”
This is coming a little late, but hey, better late than never! July started off as a really slow reading month, but within the last two weeks is when I really picked up the pace and read most of the books for the month. I read a total of 5 books, which is pretty good for me.
That being said, in terms of blogging, I…did not deliver. Lol. I only posted like three times, if that, during the whole month and my only explanation is really that I was in what one may call a ✨ creative slump ✨. It was not fun and I’m still not 100% back to my usual self but I’m hoping it’ll pass soon!Continue reading “Books I Read in July | monthly wrap-up”
As readers, it is no secret that when our favorite books are announced to be turning into a show or movie, there’s usually a mix of emotions. Mostly, excitement and nervousness. A lot of times, movies/shows tend to ~mess up~ the book and I could probably give more bad examples of adaptations than good.
All that being said, there are definitely adaptations out there that have lived up to my expectations, and even a few that have surpassed them. All of these are my opinions and I’m only going to be talking about adaptations where I have read the book AND watched the movie or show.Continue reading “Book to Screen Adaptations That Are *Actually* Good”
Surprise! I have been pretty bad about posting on here, which is kind of embarrassing since I said I’d be doing it more regularly in my June Wrap-Up 🤠 But truth be told, things have been a lot busier than I’d have expected. I’m wrapping up my summer courses (which are a lot harder than I’d have thought rip), preparing to move for college, and also practicing driving A LOT so I can *finally* get my license.
Thankfully, things aren’t too hectic to the point where I don’t get time to read! I’m excited to share my thoughts with you all on this fun YA contemporary <33Continue reading “Tweet Cute | book review”
It’s been over a week since my last post because I was in a bit of a ~blogging slump~ in the sense that I just had no idea what to write! I’ve also been insanely busy and my life is kind of all over the place right now but hopefully within the next month things will slow down a little 🤞🏽
So today I’m just going to be going over books I haven’t read yet but that I predict will become instant favorites for me. There are so many books on my TBR so I have no idea when I’ll get to any of these but when I do,,,I think I’ll love them. All of these books are already released so you can also check them out at anytime if the synopsis sounds like something up your alley!
All these predictions are based on the synopsis AND other reviews I have seen for the book from my mutuals. This list is pretty random in terms of genre, I’ve just highlighted books from all over the place that I’m interested in. If you’ve read any of them let me know! I’d love to hear your thoughts 😊Continue reading “Five Star Book Predictions”
Okay, we are officially half way done with 2021 and I am,,,not okay with that. Can time please just slow down for a minute and let me breathe??! This year feels like it’s speeding by.
June was a relatively good month for me. I’m on a break from classes (though I am taking a summer course 🥲), I was able to do some travelling, and I actually went out with friends for the first time in over a year! By no means is the pandemic over but restrictions are starting to ease up a little, at least where I am, and fingers crossed things stay that way. I hope all of you are continuing to stay safe and healthy ❤️Continue reading “June Wrap Up | Getting Back to Blogging, DNF’s, and Average Reads”
So, it’s been a minute since I’ve done a review! June was kind of a weird month for me in that I wasn’t able to read as many books as I would’ve liked. There’s still a few days left so hopefully I’ll be able to get a few more in before the end of the month but regardless, I wasn’t able to really post any reviews. Of course, that is totally okay and I’m still happy with my reading 💞 Anyways, I just finished reading Emergency Contact today and wanted to share my thoughts!
If there was ever a book that just felt “okay”, then this would be the one. I didn’t love it or hate it, the characters were interesting but not too much, and the plot was entertaining at some times but otherwise felt a little forced. All that being said, I personally would not recommend it, but I know a lot of people who actually did love it so I would say give it a try if it sounds like something you’d enjoy!Continue reading “Emergency Contact | book review”
This is my second back to back book tag post and honestly, I’m loving it! These posts are some of my favorite ones to do because I think it’s a fun way to talk about books I normally don’t get a chance to discuss on my blog. A huge shoutout and thank you to Morgan @ Morgan Is Reading Again for tagging me to do this!Continue reading “The New Releases Book Tag”
Okay you all, I have had Olivia Rodrigo’s new album Sour on repeat since it came out on May 21st. I. Am. Obsessed!!!! I honestly don’t think there is a skippable song on that whole thing because they all go so hard and are such bops 🎶 ANYWAYS, I saw that Ashmita @ The Fictional Journal created a tag for this album and I knew right away this was something I *had* to do.Continue reading “Sour Album (Olivia Rodrigo) Book Tag”
